Information we collect
Account information may include name, company, email, optional address/ZIP, project comments, school-access requests, contact preferences, plan status, saved designs, quote/order activity, support reports, and Builder Network information you choose to publish. Security records may include login timestamps, IP addresses, password-change/reset events, and session identifiers. Passwords are stored as one-way password hashes, not readable passwords.
How we use information
We use information to operate accounts, save designs, enforce plan access, provide quotes and customer-portal services, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, maintain security, process school requests, and improve Deck Studio. Contact/marketing messages are sent according to the preferences and transaction context associated with the account.
Cookies and sessions
Deck Studio uses a first-party session cookie to keep you signed in and local browser storage for interface preferences and limited workflow state. The session cookie is HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax; Secure is added when the application is served over HTTPS.
Storage and service providers
Application data may be stored in Empire-controlled hosting, local application storage, or configured database services. Email and checkout/payment services may process information needed to deliver messages or complete purchases. Empire does not intentionally expose one customer's private saved designs or account data to another customer.
Retention and backups
Operational records and backups are retained as reasonably needed for account operation, security, support, legal obligations, and recovery. Deleted or changed data can remain temporarily in backups until those backups rotate out.
Your choices
You can update many account/profile fields inside Deck Studio and can download a backup of your saved designs. For account deletion, privacy questions, or correction requests that are not available in self-service controls, contact Empire using the address below.
Children and school use
Self-service accounts are not intended for children under 13. Educator-managed student use should be authorized by the school or responsible adult and limited to the information needed for the class or program.
Data sale
Empire does not sell Deck Studio customer account data or private saved-design data to advertisers or data brokers.
